I agree! This is basically what I teach.

God the Father created light for His divine emanated Son to dwell in. The Son was the Soul of the universe made of light. Jesus Christ, who was divine, was temped to sin, but He did not sin, even though he could have sinned. The emanated divine Son was temped to sin and He sinned. He committed the original sin.

Thomas Merton said: At the center of our being is a point of nothingness which is untouched by sin... In other words, a part of our being is untouched by all sin, including original sin. Likewise, a part of the emanated divine Son [who we are a part of] was untouched by His [our] original sin. When a part of the Son was corrupted this caused the pure universe of light to manifest as the corrupt physical universe, made of matter.

Both parts of the Son are now in the physical universe. The Son is the soul of the universe. And the Son is the soul of Mother Earth. The "Son" is now the less-than-divine "Deity" within Mother Earth. It's less-than-divine because the two parts of the Son together, as one, do not equal divinity, because one part of the "Deity" is corrupted.

David Spangler, one of the founding figures of the modern New Age movement, wrote: It (the world soul within Mother Earth) is generally not accorded the status of being the ultimate source (the unqualified Absolute, or God the Father), ... but might be looked upon as a great angelic or archangelic being presiding over the well being of the world, or as the gestalt, the wholeness of all the lives and patterns that manifest upon, and as, the earth."

Jesus was One with the part of the Son that was untouched by original sin. That part of the Son that is untouched by original sin is called the Christ Consciousness. It permeates the entire universe. People who are unenlightened are still one with the part of the "Son" that was corrupted by original sin.

When every human being has become enlightened the Deity (or the Son) will be set free from matter. At the time, matter will come to an end and the Son will be totally Divine again.
